It has been Confirmed that MS has introduced AP25 Checks into the system.
This means that the 360 will recognize Burnt Media from Retail Media.
Once recognized you'll be prompt with a DVD Read Error.
These Checks will effect newly released Media

c4eva is in the works of coding a new Firmware to get past this AP25 Check.

There has been no confirmation on a Ban Wave.
As for updating your flashed console, it is advised that you wait for the new Firmware.

One thing people need to realize is even with new Firmware, no one knows if Microsoft can detect it.
