Yeah you can, but I'm pretty sure you still need to pay for the service.

You get limited access to the Elite service for free. You get so much more with the full Elite pass. Well worth the money.

If you do better research you will also see that you get new map packs every month for free as well. So just to be clear, you will be paying well over the $55 dollars for map packs if you don't buy the Elite service. So, it's worth it. If you got the Hardened Edition, like I did, all of that comes with that. If you don't think it benefits you then just say that but don't come on here and post about something you obviously know nothing about. Present all facts.

They are releasing downloadable content every month for the next 9 months that Elite members will get for free. You can access and change your load outs through smartphones, xbox 360, etc. I'm not saying it will benefit everyone but for me, it does. The Elite service in it's entirety is well worth it, in my opinion. I was also saying to present all facts and not make the service seem like it's extra money just use smart phones to change load outs. There was never a mention of getting the downloadable content for free which is the major selling point for the service. The clan capabilities are endless and awesome.
