what are the best games for solo play?
« on: October 02, 2016, 12:27:33 PM »
I'm looking to get some XBOX 360 games, but I don't like skyrim, or stuff like skyrim. I just want to be able to go straight to killing, i dont like boring story lines you sit there for 10-15 mins just listening too. I want to do the action part of the game

I have Diablo 3: ROS, are there games similar to that for the 360? where you kill straight forward? there are story lines in it, but seldomly and you can skip through them easily aswell.

I'm a bit biased, but definitely the Borderlands series.
Borderlands 2 is my all-time favorite game, and I definitely recommend it!
There's some story to it, but you'll be killing stuff literally all the time, and I love the RPG-y aspects of it.
Borderlands 1 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are pretty good too, but I like them a little less than 2.
But, going through all the games (Especially when trying to get all the achievements.) will take you weeks, if not months, of continuously playing.
Also, next month's (March 2017) Games With Gold will have Borderlands 2 the first 2 weeks.
I'd definitely give it a try, especially if you're not sure whether you'll like the series.
If you already know you like the games but haven't played them extensively, get the Triple Pack. It comes with all 3 games, and all of the DLC. Trust me, there's A LOT of DLC!

The Far Cry series might also be right up your alley.
Far Cry 4 is my personal favorite, but there's a bunch of games in the series:
Far Cry, Far Cry Instincts, Far Cry Instincts: Evolution, Far Cry Instincts: Predator, Far Cry Vengeance, Paradise Lost, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal

I've played RAGE, but had a tough time getting into it. It looked amazing though, and a lot of people like it, so your mileage might vary! ^^'

Bulletstorm, as its name implies, is about shooting bullets. Lots'a bullets.
It's a fun game. Definitely a little over the top, but a legitimately enjoyable shooter.
Pass if you dislike vulgarity though.

Just Cause and Just Cause 2 are enjoyable too.
Lots of blowing stuff up! And killing also.
But BOOM!

Bioshock is more story-heavy, but I personally really enjoyed Bioshock: Infinite. It's a pretty enjoyable shooter. Very atmospheric. Bioshock 1 and 2 are also pretty popular, but I haven't personally played them. I'd like to, though.

The Sniper Elite series also involve lots of killing, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the aforementioned games. It's more about being tactical and finding good ways to kill lots of people, but is not comparable to Diablo or Borderlands.

Just a small suggestion, based on the games I have played enough to talk about.

More shooters/'killers' you might like (Definitely not an ultimate compilation, just off the top of my head): Mafia, Watch_Dogs, Army of Two, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto 4/5, Gears of War, Fallout, Payday, Tomb Raider, Left for Dead, Halo and Call of Duty.
