how do people crack programs

i seen alot of people cracking programs like modio , profile editor , etc how do they do it i would love to try it

It's really mostly problem solving. Sure there's much to learn about general ways programs work and such, but then there's just SO many possibilities it's endless. So you first try and figure out "ok what does this program limit that I want to bypass", then you figure out "ok now how does this program actually do this", and finally "what kind of protections does the program have that i need to bypass first". Then you have to solve every little problem that gets in your way.
