I just want to get your advice on what I should do. Well I bought an xbox live account and it turns out its stolen. I found this out when the owner contacted me and said it was his. He then tells me that he wants it back when I paid 50 dollars for it. I know it was his but I also put time and money it but its his fault for giving his email and password out to some stranger. Again, just want your advice on what I should do. Should I block communications or give him his shit back.

if he cannot prove it at all then no.
+ it is yours now anyway he was the little kid who decided to go try something he shouldn't have and should have researched first. I say you keep it. You payed for it it wasn't your fault for what happened.

Tell Him You Bought The Account, Change All The Information On The Account. Change The Name Of The Tag And Block Communications!

+ From what he said make sure you wait about 30 days or so incase any messages you sent or anything get deleted and he cannot find you at all

Well he told me that he called up microsoft and that they gave him my gamertag, then he asked what was the gamertag before i changed it and i told him it. He then said that was it. But yeah like you said he could just be bullshiting me.

If Microsoft is investigating on the account they will lock it. So if it is not locked he is most likely lying.

Like everybody else is saying, screw him. You bought it, it's yours. It's his fault for giving away the info, so just keep it. Nobody would be nice and give it back if it were you.
